ACOPOWER 15W 12V Solar Charger Kit, 5A Charge Controller with Alligator Clips: Frequently Asked Questions

What can this kit charge?
It is meant for 12V batteries: a boat or trailer battery, a tractor, a gate opener, or a spare. A 15W panel makes a small current, so it keeps a battery topped up rather than quickly recharging a drained one. Call (303) 876-7654 if you are not sure it is enough for your battery.
What does 'positive grounding' mean for me?
ACOPOWER upgraded the controller to positive grounding, which matters if your system or vehicle is wired with a positive ground. If you aren't sure how your system is grounded, call (303) 876-7654 before you connect it.
Can I add a second panel?
Yes, ACOPOWER lists the system as expandable to a maximum of 2 panels. Call (303) 876-7654 and we'll help you choose a compatible panel.
What is the warranty?
ACOPOWER's warranty policy covers its solar panels for 5 years and its other products, including charge controllers and accessories, for 1 year. Coverage starts from the original purchase date and requires proof of purchase. Call (303) 876-7654 if you want the exact terms confirmed before you order.
Can I install this myself, or do I need an electrician?
Small 12V systems are a common DIY project, but any wiring to a battery bank, inverter, or your home's electrical system should follow the manufacturer's manual and local electrical code. If you're unsure, a licensed electrician or solar installer is the safe choice — call (303) 876-7654 and we can help you figure out what your setup needs.
Do you offer financing or price matching?
Yes. We offer 0% APR financing options through Affirm at checkout, and our Lowest Price Guarantee applies — if you find this product cheaper at another authorized ACOPOWER dealer, call us at (303) 876-7654 before you order and we'll take care of it.
