Each B6000 module adds 6,144 Wh of LiFePO4 storage to an E10 system. One E10 power module accepts up to five of them, which is roughly 30 kWh, and three E10 units on a Power Dock reach around 90 kWh. That is the expansion path: buy the capacity you need now and stack more later without replacing anything.

Two things separate this from a battery you bolt into a rack. It is NEMA 4 (IP66) rated, so it lives outdoors with no shelter, and it is heavy at 130 lb per module, so mounting is a real decision rather than an afterthought. Anker rates it at 80 percent capacity retention after 4,000 charge cycles.

Why the B6000

4,000 Cycles to 80 Percent

LiFePO4 chemistry rated by Anker to retain 80 percent of capacity after 4,000 charge cycles. At one cycle a day that is over a decade of daily time-of-use arbitrage, not just standby duty.

NEMA 4 (IP66), No Shelter Needed

Full outdoor rating rather than the NEMA 3R of the switchgear. Rain, snow, dust and washdown are all inside the envelope, which is why the whole system can sit beside the meter.

It Heats Itself in the Cold

Below 59 F the system runs a heating film to warm the pack, stopping once it passes 68 F. Charging power is limited at temperature extremes to protect cell life, with normal speed between 59 F and 131 F.

More Batteries Means More Starting Current

The battery count drives motor starting, not just runtime. One module gives 120 A LRA equivalent; two or more raise it to 155 A, and the 10 kW turbo output is only available with two or more modules installed.

Battery modules attach to an E10 power module and are not standalone. Mounting hardware for your chosen installation type, whether Wall Bracket, Metal Pad or Trolley, is sold separately. Note that a trolley installation accepts only one battery module. Each module weighs 130 lb, so plan for two people and a route.

How many battery modules can I add?
Five per E10 power module, which is roughly 30 kWh. With a Power Dock you can run up to three E10 units, so the practical system ceiling is around 90 kWh. Adding modules later does not require replacing the power module or rewiring the house.
Does adding batteries increase output power as well as runtime?
Up to a point, and the second module is the important one. One module gives 7.68 kW continuous with a 120 A LRA equivalent. Two or more raise the LRA equivalent to 155 A and unlock the 10 kW turbo output for up to 90 minutes. Beyond two modules you are buying runtime rather than peak capability.
How long will these actually last?
Anker rates the pack at 80 percent capacity retention after 4,000 charge cycles. If you cycle it daily for time-of-use savings that is over a decade before you reach that point, and standby backup duty cycles far less. The warranty is five years.
Can I install these outdoors?
Yes. The battery module carries a NEMA 4 (IP66) rating, which is a step above the NEMA 3R on the Smart Inlet Box and Power Dock, and is rated from -4 F to 131 F. No shelter is required.
How does it behave in a cold winter?
Below 59 F the system activates a heating film to bring the pack up to temperature, switching off once it passes 68 F. Charging power is deliberately limited at both temperature extremes to protect cell life, with normal charging speed between 59 F and 131 F. Expect slower charging on a very cold morning, which is the battery protecting itself.
How heavy are they and what do I need to mount them?
Each module is 130 lb, and the E10 power module adds 60.6 lb. Options are floor mounting, ground placement, the Metal Pad for 4.2 to 5.2 inches of flood clearance, or the Wall Bracket, which holds one power module and up to five batteries. A trolley installation accepts only one battery module. Plan for two people on install day.
Are they safe to put on my house?
They are certified to ANSI/CAN/UL 1973 and evaluated under UL 9540A, the standard that assesses fire behaviour and thermal runaway for residential energy storage. Anker also uses isolated cells and a pressure-relief valve in the enclosure. That is the certification set most authorities having jurisdiction will ask for.
Can I mix these with an older battery I already own?
No. The B6000 attaches to an Anker SOLIX E10 power module and is not a general purpose battery. It will not work with another manufacturer's inverter or with other Anker SOLIX portable power stations.
What clearance does the installation need?
Anker specifies at least 12 in (30 cm) above the E10 and a gap of 1.2 to 3.1 in (3 to 8 cm) between the unit and the wall. Worth measuring before ordering, particularly in a tight garage bay.
Do I need an electrician to add a module later?
Adding a battery module to an existing stack is a mechanical and connector operation rather than panel work, but the modules are heavy and the system is live. We recommend having your installer do it, and we are happy to talk through what your specific stack needs at (303) 876-7654.
