The metal pad raises the stack 4.2 to 5.2 inches off the floor, which keeps it clear of standing water, snowmelt and the general debris that collects at ground level, while still carrying the full weight of a multi-battery system on the slab rather than on the wall structure.

It suits a garage, a pad beside the house, or anywhere the ground is solid and flat but you would rather not have 130 lb battery modules sitting directly in whatever runs across the floor. Where the flood level is above the base height, Anker recommends the wall bracket instead.
