1,024Wh LFP | 2,000W | Guinness World Record Charging
Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 Portable Power Station: 1,024Wh and 2,000W in the Fastest-Charging 1kWh Unit on Record
Anker had this one certified by Guinness World Records in August 2025 as the fastest recharging portable power station in the 1 kWh class. Flat to full in 49 minutes on 1,600 W AC input, using a bi-directional inverter rather than a separate charger. That matters more than it sounds: a unit you can refill over a lunch break is one you actually use, rather than one you ration.
The rest is a 1,024 Wh LFP pack putting out 2,000 W continuous and 3,000 W peak across ten ports, in a body 14 percent smaller and 11 percent lighter than comparable units. One deliberate omission is worth knowing before you buy: the C1000 Gen 2 has no expansion battery option. Anker removed it to cut size and weight. If you want to grow capacity later, the C2000 Gen 2 or the original C1000 are the models that allow it.

Why the C1000 Gen 2
49 Minutes, Certified
Guinness World Records verified this as the fastest recharging 1 kWh portable power station on 14 August 2025. UltraFast Recharging must be enabled in the Anker app and wants the cells above 68 F to hit full speed.
2,000 W Across Ten Ports
3,000 W peak handles compressor and motor inrush. Ten ports means you are not juggling a power strip off a single outlet during an outage.
600 W Solar, Full in 1.8 Hours
Up to 600 W of solar input at 60 V maximum recharges the whole pack in under two hours of good sun, which makes genuine off-grid cycling practical rather than theoretical.
Sub-10 ms UPS
Fast enough that a CPAP, a laptop, a modem or a desktop never notices the grid going away. This is the feature that turns a power station into medical-equipment backup.
Time-of-Use Scheduling
The Anker app charges the unit on off-peak rates and discharges during peak, so it earns something between outages instead of sitting on a shelf.
4,000 Cycles, Ten-Year Design Life
LFP cells rated to retain at least 80 percent capacity after 4,000 charge cycles, which is daily use for a decade.

Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 Portable Power Station: 1,024Wh and 2,000W in the Fastest-Charging 1kWh Unit on Record: Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add an expansion battery later?
No, and this is the single most important thing to understand before ordering. The C1000 Gen 2 does not support capacity expansion. Anker removed the feature deliberately to make this generation smaller and lighter. If expandability matters, the C2000 Gen 2 takes a BP2000 (Gen 2) for 4,096 Wh total, and the original C1000 also supports expansion.
Is the 49-minute charge time realistic?
It is a certified figure, but it has conditions. UltraFast Recharging has to be enabled in the Anker app, and it only engages when the battery is above 68 F. Charging between 32 F and 68 F is significantly slower by design, to protect the cells. So a unit brought in from a cold garage will not hit 49 minutes until it warms up.
What does 2,000 W actually cover?
A full-size fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, most power tools, a space heater on a low setting. The 3,000 W peak absorbs the inrush when a compressor kicks in. At 1,024 Wh the constraint is usually runtime rather than wattage, so think in terms of what you need for hours rather than what you can start.
How is this different from the C2000 Gen 2?
Half the capacity, slightly less output, no expansion, and about 16 lb lighter. The C1000 Gen 2 is 1,024 Wh and 2,000 W at roughly 25 lb; the C2000 Gen 2 is 2,048 Wh and 2,400 W at 41.7 lb, expandable to 4,096 Wh. Buy this one for portability, that one for a house.
Will it run a CPAP overnight?
Comfortably, and the sub-10 ms UPS switchover means it takes over without the machine restarting if the grid drops mid-night. Actual runtime depends on your pressure settings and whether you use a humidifier, which draws considerably more.
How fast does it charge from solar?
Up to 600 W of solar input at 60 V maximum, filling the pack in about 1.8 hours in good conditions. It also accepts grid and solar at the same time, taking solar first and topping up the difference from AC.
Can I use it while it is charging?
Yes. It works as a UPS, so devices stay powered through a grid interruption with under 10 ms of gap. That is what makes it viable for a home office or medical equipment rather than just for camping.
What does Time-of-Use mode do?
It uses the Anker app to charge during cheap off-peak hours and discharge during expensive peak hours, so the unit reduces your bill between outages rather than sitting idle. Whether that is worth much depends entirely on whether your utility has a meaningful peak and off-peak spread.
Which solar panel should I pair with it?
The bundles offer a 100 W, 200 W or 400 W panel. A 100 W panel is a trickle top-up for a weekend; 200 W is a sensible day-use match; 400 W gets you close to the 600 W input ceiling and recharges fastest. Call us at (303) 876-7654 if you want help matching panel to use case.
How long will it last?
Anker rates the LFP cells at 4,000 cycles to at least 80 percent capacity, which is daily cycling for about ten years. The warranty is five years. Use the standard Anker SOLIX AC charging cable, as Anker warns that incompatible third-party cables can cause damage.
