Six Ways to Recharge

Why does idle power draw matter so much?

Can it really recharge in 58 minutes?
Yes, but read the fine print. The 58-minute figure is AC and solar together at a combined 2,600 W. On AC alone it is 1,800 W and about 88 minutes, which is still fast. Charge with the standard Anker SOLIX AC cable; Anker warns that incompatible third-party cables can cause damage.
What can 2,400 W actually run?
A microwave, a coffee maker, a hair dryer, a full-size fridge, a chest freezer, most power tools, a sump pump. The 4,000 W peak handles the inrush when a compressor or a motor starts, which is where the useful limit usually sits rather than the continuous rating. It will not run a central air conditioner or an electric range.
How much runtime will I get for my fridge?
Anker's testing at 25 C put unloaded refrigerators between 10 and 28 cubic feet at 15 to 32 hours with ice-making disabled. Yours will land somewhere in that band depending on size, ambient temperature and how often the door opens. Add a BP2000 (Gen 2) and you roughly double it.
Can I expand the capacity later?
Yes, with an Anker SOLIX BP2000 (Gen 2) expansion battery for 4,096 Wh total. Note this adds runtime only. Output stays at 2,400 W continuous and 4,000 W peak, because the inverter is in the power station.
Will it power my RV?
The TT-30 socket connects directly to standard 30 A RV shore power with no adapter, and the 800 W alternator charging option means you can top it up while driving instead of relying on a campsite hookup. It is 41.7 lb, which is manageable in an RV bay, and at 18.1 inches long it fits under most RV beds.
What is the difference between this and the C1000 Gen 2?
The C2000 Gen 2 is 2,048 Wh and 2,400 W, expandable to 4,096 Wh, weighing 41.7 lb. The C1000 Gen 2 is 1,024 Wh and 2,000 W, is not expandable at all, and weighs about 25 lb. Anker dropped expansion from the C1000 Gen 2 deliberately to cut size and weight. If you might want more capacity later, that decision points you here.
What do the four operating modes do?
Standard is plug-and-play. Time-of-Use charges on cheap off-peak power and discharges during expensive hours. Storm Guard watches severe weather alerts and tops the pack up before a storm arrives. Fast Charging Plan schedules a rapid fill. The last two are the ones that matter for backup, since a half-charged battery when the lights go out is the common failure.
Can I charge it and use it at the same time?
Yes, and it can take grid and solar simultaneously, prioritising solar and filling the remainder from AC. The UPS function means devices plugged in stay powered through a grid cut with under 10 ms of interruption.
How long will the battery last?
Anker rates the LFP cells at 4,000 cycles to 80 percent capacity, which is roughly a decade of daily use. The warranty is five years. Keep charging temperature between 32 F and 104 F for best cell life; the unit will discharge down to -4 F.
