What can 3000W actually run?
At 3000W continuous you can run a full-size refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker, a washing machine, or most corded power tools — and the 6000W surge covers the startup spike from compressors and motors. What you can't do is run several of those at once; total draw still has to stay under 3000W.
How long will 2048Wh last?
Divide 2048Wh by your load. A 150W fridge cycling at roughly 50% duty runs around 24 hours; a 1000W space heater lasts about two. CPAP machines and routers will go for days. Add a Smart Extra Battery and you double it.
What is X-Boost, and when do I need it?
X-Boost lets the unit power resistive appliances rated above its 3000W continuous output — up to 3800W — by slightly reducing the voltage delivered. It works well for heating elements like kettles, hair dryers, and heat guns. It isn't suitable for motors or sensitive electronics, so leave it off for anything with a compressor or a circuit board.
Which configuration should I buy?
Think about whether your constraint is recharging or runtime. If you'll be somewhere sunny and want to keep topping up, take a solar panel — the 500W gets you closer to the unit's 1000W ceiling than the 400W. If you're driving between locations, the 800W alternator charger recharges far faster than a 12V socket. If you're preparing for multi-day outages, the Smart Extra Battery is the one that matters.
How much solar can I connect?
Up to 1000W of solar input. That means the 500W panel option uses about half the available capacity, so there's room to add a second panel later if you want faster recharging.
Can I use it as a UPS for my computer?
Yes. Switchover to battery happens in roughly 10 milliseconds, which is fast enough that desktops, network gear, and other sensitive electronics keep running without rebooting when the grid drops.
Is it quiet enough to sleep next to?
Generally yes — EcoFlow rates it at around 25dB, roughly the level of a quiet library. Under heavy load or fast charging the cooling fans will work harder and it gets louder, so plan on a hallway or adjacent room if you're fast-charging overnight.
Can I leave it in a cold garage or a hot car?
It discharges from 14°F to 113°F but only charges from 32°F to 113°F, so below freezing it will still run your devices but won't accept a charge until it warms up. A hot car in summer can exceed the upper limit, so don't leave it baking on a dashboard.
Can it power my house during an outage?
It can power appliances you plug directly into it, which covers a fridge, lights, internet, and devices. It isn't designed to feed your breaker panel — for whole-home backup through your electrical system you'd want a DELTA Pro 3 or a DELTA Pro Ultra with a transfer switch or smart home panel.
