Epoch 48V 230Ah LiMax Series Lithium Golf Cart Battery Kit (11.04kWh)

Eleven kilowatt-hours in a golf cart. This is the largest 48V pack Epoch builds for carts, and it's for people who have stopped thinking of a cart as a golf cart — neighbourhood vehicles doing real daily mileage, hunting rigs, resort and campground fleets, carts that carry six people up hills.

230Ah at 51.2V with 300A of continuous discharge and 1,000A available for two seconds, so it pulls hard as well as far. Complete kit with a 48V 22A lithium charger, a 12V converter and a battery gauge. IP67 sealed, 4,000 cycles — higher than the rest of the LiMax range — Bluetooth with OTA updates, BMS-CAN communication, and Epoch's 11-year warranty. Renewable Outdoors is an authorized Epoch dealer — call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll check your bay dimensions first.

Why the 48V 230Ah LiMax Kit

11.04kWh — Twice the 105Ah Kit

The largest 48V cart pack Epoch makes. For daily drivers and working carts rather than weekend rounds.

300A Continuous, 1,000A Peak

More discharge capability than any other kit in the range — six passengers up a hill without complaint.

4,000 Cycles

Higher than the 3,500 of the rest of the LiMax range, behind the same 11-year warranty.

IP67 Sealed

Dust-tight and immersion-rated to one metre for thirty minutes.

48V 22A Charger Included

A larger charger to match the larger pack, so recharge times stay reasonable.

Bluetooth and BMS-CAN

App monitoring with OTA firmware updates, plus CAN communication for compatible controllers.

What's Included

Epoch 48V 230Ah LiMax Series Golf Cart Battery Kit kit contents

In the Kit

  • 1 × Epoch 48V 230Ah LiFePO4 battery (11.04kWh)
  • 1 × 48V 22A lithium charger
  • 1 × 12V converter for lights and accessories
  • 1 × Battery gauge
  • Documentation and warranty paperwork

Check your battery bay before ordering. At 23.5 by 14.4 by 9.9 inches this is a large pack and it will not fit every cart. Epoch does not publish a weight for it, and it is substantially heavier than the 105Ah at 99 lbs — plan for a two-person installation. Call us at (303) 876-7654 with your cart model and bay measurements and we'll confirm before anything ships.

Which Configuration Do You Need?

Two options. The battery, charger, converter and gauge are the same; the difference is fitment. Because this is a large pack, the fitment check matters more here than on the smaller kits.

If your bay won't take a pack this size, the 105Ah kit at 18.1 by 13.4 by 9.8 inches or the MINI at 15.8 by 11.1 by 10.9 inches are the alternatives, at roughly half the capacity. We would rather find that out on the phone than after delivery.

Epoch 48V 230Ah LiMax Series Lithium Golf Cart Battery Kit (11.04kWh): Frequently Asked Questions

Who actually needs 11kWh in a golf cart?
People who use a cart as a vehicle rather than for golf: neighbourhood driving with real daily mileage, hunting and property carts covering rough ground, resort and campground fleets that run all day between charges, and six-passenger carts on hilly terrain. If you play a round twice a week, this is more battery than you need and the 105Ah kit is the better value.
Will it fit my cart?
That's the first question to settle, because at 23.5 by 14.4 by 9.9 inches it's a large pack. It ships with EZGO TXT fitment worked out; for anything else, call us at (303) 876-7654 with your cart model and your bay measurements and we'll confirm before shipping rather than after.
How much range does it give?
Epoch doesn't publish a figure for this kit. As a rough guide it holds roughly twice the energy of the 105Ah kit, which is estimated at 35 to 45+ miles — so double that is a reasonable starting expectation on similar terrain, subject to load, tyres and how hard the cart works. We'd rather give you that reasoning than an invented number.
Why does it have a higher cycle rating than the other kits?
Epoch rates this pack at 4,000 cycles against 3,500 for the rest of the LiMax range. Part of it is simply that a bigger pack is cycled less deeply for the same daily mileage, and shallower cycles are easier on cells — but the rating itself is higher too.
How does this compare with the six lead-acid batteries I have now?
It replaces all six with one battery. You lose several hundred pounds, which improves range, hill climbing and turf impact. You stop watering cells and cleaning corroded terminals. And the voltage stays flat as it discharges, so the cart doesn't slow down as the pack drains — which is the difference most owners notice first and comment on most.
What maintenance does it need?
None of the maintenance a lead-acid pack needs — no watering, no equalising, no terminal cleaning, no specific gravity checks. Keep the terminals tight, keep the battery reasonably charged over winter storage, and that is genuinely it.
How should I store it over winter?
Between 32°F and 95°F for up to twelve months, ideally around half charged rather than full or empty. Self-discharge is slow. Note that charging requires 32°F or above, so if your cart lives in an unheated barn through a hard winter, bring the charging indoors or wait for a mild day.
Do you offer financing or price matching?
Yes. We offer 0% APR financing options through Affirm at checkout, and our Lowest Price Guarantee applies — if you find this kit cheaper at another authorized dealer, call us at (303) 876-7654 before you order and we'll take care of it.
