A 72V conversion is what you do when 48V isn't enough — when the cart is lifted, running oversized tyres, carrying six people, or climbing genuinely steep ground. Higher system voltage means more power for the same current, and this kit delivers 7,392Wh with 250A of continuous discharge and 1,000A available for two seconds.
70.4V nominal across a 1P22S LiFePO4 pack in a steel case, with a 72V 15A lithium charger, a 12V converter and a dashboard gauge included. IP67 sealed, 3,500+ cycles, Bluetooth with over-the-air firmware updates, and Epoch's 11-year warranty. Renewable Outdoors is an authorized Epoch dealer — a 72V conversion needs the rest of the drivetrain to match, so call us at (303) 876-7654 before you order.

Why the 72V 105Ah Golf Cart Kit
250A Continuous, 1,000A Peak
Two seconds at 1,000A — the headroom that gets a lifted cart up a steep grade without protest.
7.39kWh at 70.4V
Roughly 37% more energy than the 48V 105Ah kit, at a higher system voltage for more available power.
132 lbs in a Steel Case
Still a fraction of the weight of the lead-acid pack it replaces, in a case built to take abuse.
IP67 Sealed
Dust-tight and immersion-rated to one metre for thirty minutes.
Charger and Converter Included
72V 15A lithium charger, 12V converter and dashboard gauge all in the kit.
Bluetooth with OTA Updates
Monitoring on iOS and Android, and BMS firmware updates delivered over the air.
A 72V conversion is not a drop-in swap on a 48V cart. Your motor, controller, solenoid and wiring all need to be rated for 72V, and most 48V carts are not. Epoch describes this kit as compatible with major brands where the drivetrain and system requirements align. Call us at (303) 876-7654 with your cart, motor and controller before ordering — we would much rather talk it through than have you send it back.
Which Configuration Do You Need?
This kit ships in one configuration — the decisions are all about whether your cart is ready for 72V. Work through these with your installer, or with us, before you order.
Consideration
What to Check
Why It Matters
Motor
Rated for 72V operation
A 48V motor run at 72V will overspeed and can fail; most conversions need a 72V-capable motor
Controller
72V-rated controller, e.g. Navitas or Alltrax
The controller sets the voltage ceiling for the whole drivetrain
Solenoid and wiring
Rated for 72V and the current involved
Undersized components at higher voltage are a fire risk, not just a performance limit
Bay space
21.7" × 13.4" × 9.9" plus cable clearance
The 72V pack is physically larger than the 48V version
If your cart is standard 48V and you want more range or power without changing the drivetrain, the 48V 230Ah LiMax kit gives you 11kWh at 48V and is a much simpler upgrade. Call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll compare the two honestly for what you actually want.

Not without changing the drivetrain. The motor, controller, solenoid and wiring all need to be rated for 72V, and a standard 48V cart's are not. Running 48V components at 72V will overspeed the motor and can destroy the controller. If you want more from a 48V cart without that work, the 48V 230Ah LiMax kit is the better answer.
What does 72V actually give me over 48V?
More power available for the same current, which translates into better hill climbing, better acceleration under load, and less strain on the drivetrain when the cart is lifted or heavily loaded. It's the upgrade for carts that are working hard, not for carts that are simply old.
How far will it go?
Epoch doesn't publish an absolute figure for this kit, noting that performance-oriented owners often target the 40 to 50 mile range in favourable conditions. Real range depends heavily on how a 72V cart is set up and driven — a lifted cart with big tyres driven hard will do far less than that. Call us at (303) 876-7654 and describe your setup and we'll give you a realistic expectation.
Is the charger included and is it the right one?
Yes — a 72V 15A lithium charger comes with the kit. Do not attempt to charge this pack with a 48V charger or a lead-acid charger; neither will work and both risk damage.
How does this compare with the six lead-acid batteries I have now?
It replaces all six with one battery. You lose several hundred pounds, which improves range, hill climbing and turf impact. You stop watering cells and cleaning corroded terminals. And the voltage stays flat as it discharges, so the cart doesn't slow down as the pack drains — which is the difference most owners notice first and comment on most.
What maintenance does it need?
None of the maintenance a lead-acid pack needs — no watering, no equalising, no terminal cleaning, no specific gravity checks. Keep the terminals tight, keep the battery reasonably charged over winter storage, and that is genuinely it.
How should I store it over winter?
Between 32°F and 95°F for up to twelve months, ideally around half charged rather than full or empty. Self-discharge is slow. Note that charging requires 32°F or above, so if your cart lives in an unheated barn through a hard winter, bring the charging indoors or wait for a mild day.
