16kWh LiFePO4 Battery · Five EG4 Inverter Options
RUiXU Lithi2-16 + EG4 Inverter Bundle
Every bundle here starts with the same battery — the RUiXU Lithi2-16, a 16.07kWh, 51.2V LiFePO4 unit rated for 9,500+ cycles — and pairs it with one of five EG4 inverters. Two are pure off-grid inverter/chargers (6000XP, 12000XP); three are grid-interactive hybrids that can export power back to the utility (FlexBOSS18, FlexBOSS21, 18kPV).
That choice matters more than the wattage on the label, so we've laid out the real numbers below — continuous AC output, usable solar input, whether the unit can sell back to the grid, and whether it can be mounted outdoors. Renewable Outdoors is an authorized dealer for RUiXU and EG4, and we're happy to size the pairing to your loads before you order.

Why Buy the Battery and Inverter Together
Closed-Loop Communication
The Lithi2-16 talks to EG4 inverters over RS485 or CAN, so the inverter reads real state-of-charge from the battery's BMS instead of guessing from voltage.
16kWh in One Enclosure
16.07kWh of LiFePO4 storage in a single wall-mount cabinet with built-in wheels — no rack to assemble or modules to wire together.
9,500+ Cycle Battery Life
Rated for 9,500 or more cycles at 80% depth of discharge — over 25 years of daily cycling before reaching rated end-of-life capacity.
Five Power Levels
From a 6kW off-grid inverter for a cabin to a 16kW grid-interactive hybrid for a large home — one battery, five ways to build the system.
Export or Stay Off-Grid
The three hybrid options can sell power back to the utility where net metering allows; the two XP models are off-grid inverter/chargers that never export.
Room to Scale
Every EG4 option here supports 10 to 16 units in parallel, so the architecture you pick today can grow well past a single inverter.

A note on EG4's model names: the number in "18kPV", "FlexBOSS18" and "FlexBOSS21" refers to solar input capacity, not AC output. The 18kPV, for example, accepts 18,000W of usable PV but delivers 12,000W of continuous AC. Every figure in this table is taken from EG4's own spec sheets, which are linked in the Documentation section below — we'd rather you size the system on the real numbers than on the name.

All figures from EG4's own published spec sheets. The 6000XP and 12000XP are 120/240V split-phase off-grid inverter/chargers rated for indoor installation (IP20) and carry a 5-year warranty; the 18kPV, FlexBOSS18 and FlexBOSS21 are grid-interactive hybrids in NEMA 4X enclosures rated from -13°F to 140°F with a 10-year warranty. EG4 publishes component efficiencies rather than a single peak figure for the two XP models, so we've listed what they actually state.
Each EG4 inverter ships with its own mounting and commissioning hardware. In every case that includes the inverter itself, a WiFi monitoring module or dongle, a battery communication cable, and mounting hardware.
6000XP: inverter, WiFi module, expansion screws and tubes, battery comm cable (78in), inverter-to-inverter comm cable (78in), hardware, user manual

18kPV: inverter, WiFi dongle, keys, 2 × 1" CTs, mounting bracket, 2 L-brackets, RJ45 terminals, screws and expansion bolts, 2m battery comm cable, 2m parallel comm cable

Battery figures are from RUiXU's own Lithi2-16 operation manual and product page. We've deliberately left an IP rating off this table: RUiXU's product page states IP55 while their own manual lists no rating at all, so rather than assert a figure we can't confirm, please call us if the exact ingress rating matters for where you're installing it.
Why is the 18kPV's AC output 12,000W and not 18,000W?
Because the "18k" in the name refers to solar input, not AC output. Per EG4's own spec sheet the 18kPV accepts up to 18,000W of usable PV (from an array up to 21,000W) but delivers 12,000W of continuous AC at 240V. The same applies to the FlexBOSS models: the FlexBOSS18 takes 18kW of solar and outputs 13,000W AC, and the FlexBOSS21 takes 21kW of solar and outputs 16,000W AC. Size your system on the AC output figure, since that's what runs your loads.
Which inverter should I choose?
Start with one question: do you want to sell power back to the grid? If yes, you need a hybrid — the 18kPV, FlexBOSS18, or FlexBOSS21. If you're off-grid or don't have net metering, the 6000XP or 12000XP will do the job for less. From there it's a matter of how much continuous AC output your loads need. Call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll work through it with you.
Can the 6000XP or 12000XP sell power back to the grid?
No. Both are off-grid inverter/chargers. They accept grid or generator input to charge the battery and pass power through to your loads, but EG4's manual states plainly that they cannot export to the utility. If net metering matters to you, choose one of the three hybrid options instead.
Is one Lithi2-16 enough battery for the larger inverters?
This is worth a conversation before you order. The Lithi2-16 is a 314Ah battery, and EG4 recommends a minimum battery capacity of more than 400Ah per 12000XP and 600Ah per FlexBOSS21. A single battery will operate, but it limits how hard you can drive those inverters, since the battery's own maximum is 200A of charge or discharge. For the 6000XP the pairing is comfortable. Call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll tell you honestly whether you should plan on a second battery.
Can these inverters be installed outdoors?
The 18kPV, FlexBOSS18, and FlexBOSS21 carry NEMA 4X enclosures rated from -13°F to 140°F, so they're built for outdoor mounting. The 6000XP and 12000XP are rated IP20 and are indoor-only — they need a garage, utility room, or equipment closet. For the RUiXU battery, RUiXU's page and manual disagree on an ingress rating, so call us before siting it anywhere exposed.
How long will 16kWh run my house?
At a 1kW average draw — lights, fridge, internet, electronics — you'd see roughly 14 to 15 usable hours. Central air conditioning or electric heat cuts that to a few hours. Note that runtime is set by the battery, not the inverter: a bigger inverter runs more at once, it doesn't run longer.
Does the battery communicate with the inverter?
Yes. The Lithi2-16 supports RS485 and CAN, and every bundle includes a battery communication cable with the inverter. Closed-loop communication lets the inverter read actual state of charge and cell data from the battery's BMS rather than estimating from voltage, which gives you more accurate reporting and better charge control.
Can I add more batteries or inverters later?
Yes to both. The EG4 inverters here support 10 units in parallel (18kPV) or 16 units (6000XP, 12000XP, FlexBOSS18, FlexBOSS21), and you can add Lithi2-16 batteries in parallel to increase capacity and current headroom. Talk to us about the expansion path before you buy so the first purchase doesn't box you in.
Do I need a licensed electrician to install this?
Yes, we strongly recommend it. These systems involve high-current DC battery wiring, split-phase AC connections, grounding, rapid shutdown provisions, and — for the hybrid models — utility interconnection paperwork. That's work for a licensed electrician familiar with your local code, and it needs to be inspected before commissioning.
What's covered under warranty, and do you offer financing?
RUiXU covers the Lithi2-16 for 10 years. EG4 covers the 18kPV, FlexBOSS18, and FlexBOSS21 for 10 years and the 6000XP and 12000XP for 5 years. As your retailer we can help you navigate a claim with either manufacturer. We also offer 0% APR financing through Affirm at checkout and back every bundle with our Lowest Price Guarantee — call us at (303) 876-7654.
