The bamboo-fiberglass deck flexes more, giving a softer, springier ride that absorbs vibration and feels more like a traditional longboard. Carbon is stiffer and more direct. Choose bamboo for comfort and a classic flex feel, carbon for a planted, responsive feel at speed.
Does it come with both wheel sets?
Yes. The 2-in-1 includes both street wheels and all-terrain pneumatic tires, so you can set it up for pavement or off-road depending on where you ride.
What is the real-world range?
Evolve rates it at up to 80 km (50 mi) on street wheels. All-terrain tires, hills, heavier riders, and Fast mode all reduce that. A realistic figure for mixed street use is 40 to 60 km, with less off-road.
How hard is it to switch wheel setups?
It is a hands-on job with tools, not a quick swap. Most riders set it up for the type of riding they are doing that day. It becomes quick once you have done it a few times.
Is it suitable for a first-time rider?
It can be, but it is a high-performance board. Start in Safe or Eco mode and always wear a helmet and pads. The softer bamboo flex is forgiving, but the power is real, so build up gradually.
