99.2Wh · 100W USB-C · 2.1 lbs · LiFePO4 · 2,000 Cycles

Jackery Explorer 100 Plus Portable Power Station (99.2Wh)

At 2.1 pounds and roughly the size of a water bottle, the Explorer 100 Plus is the power station you'll actually carry. 99.2Wh is enough to refill a phone six or seven times, keep a drone flying through an afternoon, or run a camera and a headlamp across a weekend — and it fits in a daypack without you noticing it.

It's a USB-only unit, which is exactly why it's this small: no AC inverter, no fan, no noise. Two 100W USB-C ports work in both directions, so the same port that fast-charges your laptop also refills the unit in under two hours from a wall charger or a SolarSaga panel. LiFePO4 cells rated for 2,000 cycles, and it stays under the 100Wh airline carry-on limit. Renewable Outdoors is an authorized Jackery dealer — call us at (303) 876-7654 if you'd like help choosing.

Why the Explorer 100 Plus

2.1 lbs, Pocketable

Just 965 grams and under five inches long — small enough that it goes in the bag by default rather than by decision.

Flies With You

At 99.2Wh it sits under the 100Wh airline carry-on threshold, so it can travel in hand luggage on most carriers.

100W USB-C, Both Ways

Two bidirectional 100W USB-C ports: fast-charge a laptop out, or refill the unit in about two hours in.

LiFePO4, 2,000 Cycles

Lithium iron phosphate rather than the pouch cells usual at this size — far longer service life and better thermal behaviour.

Solar Ready

Accepts up to 100W of solar through USB-C. A SolarSaga 100 fills it in roughly two hours of good sun.

Fanless and Silent

No moving parts at all, so it makes no noise in a tent and has nothing to clog with dust.

What's Included

Jackery Explorer 100 Plus ports

In the Box

  • 1 × Jackery Explorer 100 Plus power station
  • 1 × USB-C charging cable (17cm)
  • User manual and warranty card

There's no wall adapter in the box — the unit charges from any USB-C power supply you already own, and a 100W charger will fill it fastest. A SolarSaga panel is a separate purchase; call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll match one to how you'll use it.

Jackery Explorer 100 Plus Portable Power Station (99.2Wh): Frequently Asked Questions

Can I run a laptop or a small appliance from it?
You can run anything that charges over USB-C, which includes most modern laptops — the 100W port handles a MacBook Pro or a similarly rated Windows machine. What you cannot do is plug in a normal wall plug, because there's no AC outlet. If you need a household socket, look at the Explorer 300 v2 or the Explorer 500 v2 instead.
How many phone charges will 99.2Wh give me?
Roughly six to seven full charges for a typical smartphone, allowing for conversion losses. For a tablet, expect two to three. For a 60Wh laptop battery, about one and a half. It's a top-up device for a weekend rather than a household backup.
Can I take it on a plane?
At 99.2Wh it sits just under the 100Wh threshold that most airlines apply to lithium batteries in carry-on baggage, which is precisely why Jackery sized it this way. Policies still vary by carrier and change over time, so check with your airline before you fly.
How do I charge it?
Through either USB-C port, from a wall charger, a car USB-C socket, a laptop, or a SolarSaga panel. A 100W USB-C charger is fastest at around 1.8 hours. There's no separate barrel-jack input to worry about.
What is LiFePO4, and why does it matter at this size?
Lithium iron phosphate is a battery chemistry that trades a little energy density for a much longer service life and better thermal stability. Most power banks this size use cells rated for a few hundred cycles; this one is rated for 2,000 to 70% or more of original capacity. If you use it weekly, that's decades rather than years.
Can I use it while it's charging?
Yes — pass-through charging is supported, so you can leave it plugged in and keep drawing from it at the same time. That's useful when you're using it as a desk hub as much as a travel battery.
Which solar panel should I pair with it?
It accepts up to 100W through USB-C, and only one panel at a time. A SolarSaga 100 fills it in about two hours of good sun, a SolarSaga 80 in about 2.5, and a SolarSaga 40 in about 5.5. Call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll match a panel to your trip.
Does it make any noise?
None at all. It's fanless, so there's nothing to hum in a quiet tent, and no vents to clog with dust or sand.
Will it hold its charge if I leave it in a drawer?
Largely, yes — self-discharge is in the region of 5 to 10 percent a month, so it will still have useful charge months later. As with any lithium battery, storing it around half charged rather than full or empty is kindest to the cells.
Do you offer financing or price matching?
Yes. We offer 0% APR financing options through Affirm at checkout, and our Lowest Price Guarantee applies — if you find this model cheaper at another authorized dealer, call us at (303) 876-7654 before you order and we'll take care of it.
