What does the 50-minute charge time actually mean for me?
It means the unit is rarely the reason you're without power. In a rolling-outage situation where the grid comes back for an hour at a time, that hour is enough to refill it completely. It also means you can top it up before leaving the house rather than planning the night before.
Is sub-10ms fast enough to protect my computer?
Yes. Desktop power supplies typically ride through 15 to 20 milliseconds of interruption, so a sub-10ms transfer is comfortably inside that. The same applies to routers, modems, NAS boxes and most consumer electronics. For medical devices, check the tolerance with the manufacturer before relying on it.
What is Jackery Priority Routing?
It's load management: you tell the unit which of your connected devices matter most, and as the battery drains it sheds the lower-priority ones instead of running everything until it dies at once. In a long outage that's the difference between a fridge that stays cold and one that doesn't.
What can 1500W run?
A full-size refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker, a 1500W space heater on its own, a TV and streaming setup, networking gear, LED lighting, laptop and phone charging, most power tools. The 3000W peak covers the startup surge from motors.
How long will it run my essentials?
1024Wh divided by your draw. A fridge, router, modem and lighting at around 200W gives you roughly five hours of continuous draw, and often considerably longer in practice because a fridge cycles rather than running flat out. Can I add an extra battery?
No — 1024Wh is the capacity of this model. If you want a system you can grow, the HomePower 2000 Plus v2 expands from 2kWh to 12kWh, and the HomePower 3600 Pro Max reaches 43kWh. We stock both.
Does it have a car socket?
No. This model has AC outlets and USB ports but no 12V cigarette-lighter outlet, so a car accessory won't plug straight in. If a 12V socket matters to you, the Explorer 1500 Ultra and the Explorer 500 v2 both have one.
How much solar can I connect?
Up to 400W, through two DC8020 input ports, filling the unit in about 3.3 hours of good sun. It also charges from a gas generator in about 50 minutes, or from a vehicle alternator at 600W in about 2.7 hours.
Is the white version any different?
Only cosmetically. Same 1024Wh, same 1500W, same ports, same warranty — it's finished for a room where it will be visible rather than a garage shelf.
