Generac 6500W 49ST CoSense Portable Generator

The Generac GP6500 COsense® portable generator delivers 6,500 watts of steady running power and up to 8,125 surge watts, making it ideal for powering heavy-duty appliances, tools, and even central air during outages. Driven by a durable OHV engine with splash lubrication, it offers dependable performance and a robust 7.9‑gallon steel fuel tank for extended runtime—up to around 11½ hours at half load, and up to 16½ hours at 25% load.

Equipped with Generac’s PowerRush™ Advanced Technology, the GP6500 ramps up its output by over 40% during heavy startup demands, ensuring it can handle tough inductive loads like HVAC compressors, pumps, and power tools without missing a beat. Meanwhile, COsense® technology adds a critical layer of safety—continuously monitoring for carbon monoxide and automatically shutting the unit down if levels become unsafe.
