The 30K-3P is Sol-Ark's commercial three-phase platform for 208V services: 30,000W continuous with 45kVA of ten-second surge, four MPPTs taking up to 39kW of solar, and a 200A grid passthrough. It handles the same job a residential Sol-Ark does — solar, storage, grid and generator managed as one system — at the scale a small commercial building, a farm or a light industrial site actually needs.
It runs on a high-voltage battery architecture (160–500V) rather than 48V, which keeps conductor sizes sensible at this power level, and pairs with Sol-Ark's L3 series battery banks in indoor IP20 or outdoor IP55 form. Up to ten units run in parallel for 300kW. Renewable Outdoors is an authorized Sol-Ark dealer — call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll get the datasheets to your engineer.

Why the Sol-Ark 30K-3P
30kW Continuous, 45kVA Surge
Three-phase 120/208V output with ten seconds of surge headroom for motor and compressor startup.
Four MPPTs, 39kW of Solar
Two strings per tracker at 36A each, across a 150–500V window with a 550V maximum input.
High-Voltage Battery Architecture
160–500V DC across two battery inputs — far smaller conductors than a 48V bank at this power.
Ten Units in Parallel
Scales to 300kW without changing platform, so the system grows with the site.
200A Grid Passthrough
180A continuous and 200A for ten minutes, with a 15ms adjustable transfer to backup.
IP65 / NEMA 3R, UL 1741-2021
Outdoor-rated from −40°C to 60°C, certified to current interconnection standards, 10-year warranty.
What's Included
In the Box
1 × Sol-Ark 30K-3P-208V hybrid inverter
Mounting hardware
Installation manual and warranty documentation
Batteries, PV modules, current transformers, disconnects, conduit and interconnection hardware are separate. We stock Sol-Ark's L3 series battery banks sized for this inverter in both indoor IP20 and outdoor IP55 form — call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll put the full system list together.
Commercial and agricultural sites on a 120/208V three-phase service: small offices, workshops, restaurants, clinics, farms, light industrial units. It's the step up from Sol-Ark's residential split-phase units, using the same operating philosophy — solar, battery, grid and generator managed as one system — at three-phase scale.
Why does it use high-voltage batteries instead of 48V?
At 30kW, a 48V bank would need enormous conductors and would suffer real losses in the cabling. Moving to a 160–500V DC architecture cuts the current for the same power, which means smaller cable, less heat and better efficiency. It does mean you need batteries designed for that voltage, which is what Sol-Ark's L3 series is.
Which battery banks pair with it?
Sol-Ark's L3 series, in the 208V configuration. We stock the 40kWh indoor IP20 bank and the 60kWh outdoor IP55 bank matched to this inverter. Indoor versus outdoor is usually decided by whether you have conditioned space to spare — call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll talk through which suits your site.
How much solar can I put on it?
Up to 39,000W usable across four MPPTs, each taking two strings at up to 36A, within a 150–500V window and a 550V ceiling. That's a substantial commercial array — for most small commercial roofs the roof runs out before the inverter does.
Can I run several in parallel?
Yes, up to ten units for 300kW. That covers most light commercial and small utility-scale applications on a single platform, which is simpler to support than mixing equipment as the site grows.
What is the transfer time, and does that matter commercially?
15ms, and it's adjustable. That's fast enough for most commercial equipment, though very sensitive process equipment or certain server loads may want a dedicated online UPS in front of them. Worth checking with the equipment vendor if you have anything unusually sensitive.
Who installs a system like this?
A licensed electrical contractor with commercial three-phase experience, working to a stamped design. This is service-entrance equipment interconnecting with a utility, so it needs a permit, an inspection and usually a utility interconnection agreement. We can supply the equipment and the documentation your engineer will need — call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll get the datasheets over to them.
Can it be installed outdoors?
Yes — IP65 / NEMA 3R, rated from −40°C to 60°C. At 176 lbs it needs proper wall support or a rack. Shade extends full-output operation in hot climates, as with any inverter.
Does it work without batteries?
It can operate as a grid-tied solar inverter, but the point of a hybrid at this scale is usually storage — demand-charge management, peak shaving and backup are what justify the investment for most commercial sites. If you're solar-only today, it's a reasonable platform to buy into knowing storage comes later.
Do you offer financing or price matching?
Yes. We offer 0% APR financing options through Affirm at checkout, and our Lowest Price Guarantee applies — if you find this cheaper at another authorized dealer, call us at (303) 876-7654 before you order and we'll take care of it.
