ACOPOWER 100w 12v Portable Solar Panel Kit, Foldable Mono Suitcase, ProteusX Waterproof 20A Charge Controller: Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this on a 24V battery bank?
ACOPOWER's product page describes the controller as 12V/24V auto-detecting, but the kit's user manual lists a 12V controller with a 25V maximum solar input. A 24V system normally needs panels wired in series, which would exceed that 25V input limit. Treat this kit as a 12V system, and call (303) 876-7654 before you try anything else.
How big is it, and how much does it weigh?
ACOPOWER does not publish dimensions or weight for this kit on its product page, and the manual's figures look inconsistent with a 100W suitcase panel, so we won't print a number we can't stand behind. Call (303) 876-7654 and we'll get you exact numbers before you order.
Can I add a second panel?
Yes, ACOPOWER lists the kit as expandable to 200W. Wiring and panel choice matter because the controller has a limited solar input voltage, so call (303) 876-7654 and we'll help you pick a compatible panel.
What is the warranty?
ACOPOWER's warranty policy covers its solar panels for 5 years and its other products, including charge controllers and accessories, for 1 year. Coverage starts from the original purchase date and requires proof of purchase. Call (303) 876-7654 if you want the exact terms confirmed before you order.
Can I install this myself, or do I need an electrician?
Small 12V systems are a common DIY project, but any wiring to a battery bank, inverter, or your home's electrical system should follow the manufacturer's manual and local electrical code. If you're unsure, a licensed electrician or solar installer is the safe choice — call (303) 876-7654 and we can help you figure out what your setup needs.
Do you offer financing or price matching?
Yes. We offer 0% APR financing options through Affirm at checkout, and our Lowest Price Guarantee applies — if you find this product cheaper at another authorized ACOPOWER dealer, call us at (303) 876-7654 before you order and we'll take care of it.
