Sol-Ark 60kWh L3 Battery Bank — IP20 Indoor, for the 60K-3P
61.44kWh of lithium iron phosphate storage in a freestanding indoor rack, built from twelve 5.12kWh modules and matched to the Sol-Ark 60K-3P 480V inverter. 55.3kWh is usable at the recommended 90% depth of discharge, and the bank charges and discharges at up to 60kW AC — the full rating of the inverter it partners.
It runs at 614.4V nominal to suit the 60K's high-voltage battery architecture, communicates over CAN and RS485, and carries UL 1973, UL 9540 and UL 9540A certification. At IP20 / NEMA 1 it needs conditioned indoor space. Renewable Outdoors is an authorized Sol-Ark dealer — call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll get the documentation to your engineer.

Why the L3 60kWh Indoor Bank
61.44kWh of LFP Storage
Lithium iron phosphate in 5.12kWh modules — the chemistry commercial storage standardised on for safety and cycle life.
Full-Rate Charge and Discharge
Rated to charge and discharge at its full nameplate power, so the bank never becomes the bottleneck.
94% Roundtrip Efficiency
Measured at 25°C and 0.5C — very little of what you store is lost getting it back out.
614.4V High-Voltage Architecture
Matched to the Sol-Ark inverter it ships with, keeping conductor sizes and losses sensible at commercial scale.
UL 9540 and UL 1973 Certified
Certified at both the cell and the complete-system level, which is what commercial inspectors ask for.
IP20 / NEMA 1 Indoor
Freestanding powder-coated steel rack running under 40 dBA at 30°C, for a plant room or electrical room.

Sol-Ark 60kWh L3 Battery Bank — IP20 Indoor, for the 60K-3P: Frequently Asked Questions
Which inverter does this battery bank pair with?
The Sol-Ark 60K-3P three-phase inverter. Sol-Ark's L3 series is built around specific inverter voltages, so the bank and the inverter have to match — this configuration is not interchangeable with the other L3 variants. If you're not certain which inverter your project uses, call us at (303) 876-7654 before ordering.
What does usable capacity mean versus nameplate?
Nameplate is the total energy the cells hold. Usable is what you should plan to actually cycle, which here is 90% of nameplate — Sol-Ark's recommended depth of discharge. Running a lithium bank to absolute empty shortens its life, so the 90% figure is the number to design against.
Where does it need to be installed?
It needs conditioned indoor space — a plant room, an electrical room or a similar area kept between 40°F and 110°F. It is IP20 / NEMA 1, which means it is protected against solid objects but not against water, so it cannot go outside or anywhere it might get wet.
How long will it last?
Ten years of product warranty, with a performance warranty expressed as energy throughput rather than just time — which is the more honest way to warrant a battery, because a bank cycled twice a day ages faster than one cycled twice a month. LFP chemistry is chosen for exactly this kind of duty.
What certifications does it carry?
UL 1973 for the battery, UL 9540 and UL 9540A for the energy storage system, plus UN 38.3 transport certification, FCC and California Prop 65. UL 9540 in particular is what a growing number of inspectors ask for on permitted commercial storage, so it's worth confirming with your AHJ early.
Can I add capacity later?
Sol-Ark's L3 platform is modular and supports multiple banks per inverter, so expansion is possible — but the design needs to account for it upfront, particularly the DC busbar and disconnects. Tell us where you expect the site to be in five years and we'll size the initial installation with that in mind.
How much does it weigh, and what does that mean for the floor?
These are heavy — the figures are in the specification table above and they are measured in hundreds or thousands of pounds. Floor loading is a real design input, not an afterthought, particularly for an indoor installation above a basement or on a raised floor. Your structural engineer will want the weight and footprint figures early.
How does it communicate with the inverter?
CAN 2.0 and RS485. The battery management system talks directly to the Sol-Ark inverter, which is what allows accurate state-of-charge reporting, proper charge control and coordinated protection rather than the inverter guessing at voltage.
Who installs it?
A licensed electrical contractor with commercial energy-storage experience, working to a stamped design and a permit. High-voltage DC is genuinely dangerous and this is not equipment to improvise around. We supply the hardware and the documentation your engineer and inspector will need.
Do you offer financing or price matching?
