How fast does the included solar panel recharge the station?
The station can take up to 3,200W of solar input, but a single 400W panel only ever delivers up to 400W in ideal sun — recharging 3,840Wh off one panel alone will take the better part of a day depending on sunlight. Adding panels up to the 3,200W ceiling shortens that considerably.
Is the solar panel bifacial, and does that matter here?
Yes, the included PS400 has N-type cells on both faces, so it also picks up light reflected off snow, sand, or concrete for up to 10% more output than a front-only panel in those conditions — a real but situational gain, not a guaranteed one on grass or dirt.
Will the power switch over automatically if my grid power goes out?
With the F3800 Plus wired in as a UPS, switchover is rated at 20 ms, fast enough that most electronics won't reset. We'd still recommend a licensed electrician for any whole-home or transfer-switch installation.
What outlets does the F3800 Plus have, and will it run 240V equipment?
