How does whole-home backup work with this system?
On its own, the TITAN 5000 powers whatever you plug into its outlets, switching over within 10 ms. To back up your home, add the Smart Home Panel 10 (sold separately), which covers up to 10 selected circuits and switches over in 20 ms or less. Wiring the panel needs a licensed electrician.
What can the 7,200W output run?
It delivers 7,200W continuous at 120/240V split-phase, 60Hz, with three NEMA 5-20R outlets, one NEMA L14-30R, a 60W USB-C port and an 18W USB-A port. EcoFlow's own test started a 3-ton central air conditioner without a soft starter, within startup limits. Call (303) 876-7654 and we'll check your specific loads.

Can I add more batteries?
Yes. Each unit has 5kWh (5,017.6Wh) of LFP battery, and you can expand to 30kWh by adding up to five EcoFlow TITAN Battery 5kWh units. Added batteries increase energy and runtime but not output. Connection cables are sold separately.
How much solar can I connect?
The single MPPT input accepts up to 4,000W at 40–450V and 16A. Panels must be wired directly to the TITAN to recharge during an outage. AC input is up to 7,200W, so you can also charge from the grid through the Smart Home Panel 10 or from a generator.
How does it compare to the TITAN 5000 Classic and Plus?
The TITAN 5000 has 7,200W of 120/240V output and one 4,000W solar input. The Classic is 4,000W at 120V only, with 3,200W of solar. The Plus adds a second solar input for 8,000W total and up to 10,000W of output when paired with solar.
Do I need an electrician to install it?
Not to use it on its own. Plug loads into its outlets and set it up from the Quick Start Guide. Wiring it to your home through the Smart Home Panel 10 needs a licensed electrician, plus permits and inspection where your local code requires them. Panel upgrades, breakers and permits can add cost. Call (303) 876-7654 if you want help planning it.
Can I install it outdoors?
No. The unit is rated IP20 and is meant for a dry, ventilated indoor location such as a home or garage. Operating temperature is 14 to 113°F (−10 to 45°C) when discharging and 32 to 113°F (0 to 45°C) when charging, at altitudes below 9,842 ft (3,000 m).
How long is the warranty?
EcoFlow lists 5 years on the main unit, the expansion battery and the Smart Home Panel 10.
