EG4 24K Hybrid Multizone Mini-Split

This is the outdoor condenser unit for EG4's multizone mini-split system — it pairs with 1 to 3 separately-sold indoor units (12K, 18K, or 24K) to cover your layout. If your indoor total exceeds the 24K compressor rating, EG4's own sizing guide simply caps combined output at 24K rather than causing a mismatch.

A built-in MPPT controller takes solar power directly — up to 5 panels rated at 550W each — alongside standard grid power, with SEER2 up to 22.5 and heating rated down to 5°F outdoor temperature.

Do the indoor units need to add up to exactly 24K?
No. EG4's own sizing guide allows the indoor total to exceed the outdoor unit's 24K compressor capacity — in that case, total output across all zones is simply capped at what the compressor can deliver (24K). Valid combinations include 12K+12K, 12K+18K, 18K+18K, and 12K+12K+12K, among others.
How many indoor units can I run?
Up to 3 zones, in any combination of 12K, 18K, and 24K indoor units.
Does this run on solar directly?
