What age and size is the C1 for? It's designed for kids 4 to 12 years old, roughly 3'3" to 4'9" tall, with a 165 lb capacity. Check your child's height against the range, since smaller 4-year-olds may not reach the ground comfortably.
Can I control how fast it goes? Yes. You set one of three speed modes (7, 13, or 15 mph) and can use the parental remote to limit speed or cut the motor instantly.
Does it have pedals? No. It's a throttle-powered electric balance bike with foot pegs, more like a mini motorcycle. With the power off it works as a balance bike.
How safe are the brakes? The C1 uses a rear hydraulic disc brake plus an electronic motor cutoff when the throttle is released, so it stops well without needing much hand strength.
What's the range? Himiway rates it up to 45 to 50 miles per charge. Heavier riders and higher speeds reduce it, but most families charge it about once a week.
Is safety gear needed? Always. A properly fitted helmet is essential, and adult supervision is recommended, especially for younger or newer riders.
