3000W · 9000W Surge · 24V · Two PV Voltage Options · 16.8 lbs · UL 1741
SunGoldPower 3000W 24V Solar Inverter Charger (SPH302460A / SPH302480A)
3000W of output with a 9000W surge for twenty seconds, in a transformer-less high-frequency design weighing just 16.8 lbs. This is the compact all-in-one for a cabin, a van, a workshop or a small off-grid setup: inverter, MPPT charge controller and 40A AC charger in one box.
Two versions, and the difference is important: the SPH302480A takes high-voltage strings at 120–450V for up to 4000W of PV, while the SPH302460A takes low-voltage arrays at 30–108V for up to 1600W. Choose by how your panels will be wired. Renewable Outdoors is an authorized SunGoldPower dealer — call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll work out which one fits your array.

Why the SunGoldPower 3000W 24V
16.8 lbs
A transformer-less high-frequency design, light enough to mount anywhere and to take with you.
3000W with 9000W Surge
Twenty seconds at three times rating, which starts pumps and compressors a smaller inverter would stall on.
Two PV Voltage Options
High-voltage strings up to 450V and 4000W, or low-voltage arrays from 30V and 1600W — pick to match your wiring.
All-in-One
Inverter, MPPT charge controller and 40A AC charger in one enclosure.
Four Charging Modes
AC priority, solar priority, solar only, or mains and solar hybrid.
Auto Generator Start
Dry contacts deliver the start signal, so a generator can back up the battery automatically.
What's Included
What You Get
1 × SunGoldPower 3000W 24V solar inverter charger in the version you select
Mounting hardware
User manual and warranty documentation
Batteries, solar panels, PV disconnects and cabling are separate. WiFi and GPRS remote monitoring are optional extras on this model rather than included. Output is 120V single phase — this is not a split-phase inverter. Call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll confirm the parts list.
SPH302460A or SPH302480A?
Both are 3000W at 24V. The difference is the solar input voltage window, and getting this wrong is the easiest mistake to make on this product.
Version
PV Input Window
Choose It When
SPH302460A
PV 30–108V, MPPT 30–90V, 100V maximum open circuit, up to 1600W
Your panels are wired in parallel or in short strings — typical for a 12V or 24V-style array of one to four panels. 60A solar charging
SPH302480A
PV 120–450V, MPPT 120–400V, 450V maximum open circuit, up to 4000W
Your panels are wired in longer series strings, which is how most modern full-size panels are installed. 80A solar charging and more than double the PV capacity
Work this out from your panel count and wiring before you order. Four 415W panels in series is roughly 153V open circuit — fine for the 80A version, and it would immediately exceed the 60A version's 100V limit. If you are not certain, call us at (303) 876-7654 with your panel model and how many you have, and we'll calculate it with you.
It depends entirely on how your solar panels are wired, not on how many watts you have. If your panels go in long series strings — normal for full-size 400W+ panels — you need the SPH302480A, which takes 120 to 450V. If your array is wired in parallel at low voltage, you need the SPH302460A, which takes 30 to 108V and would be destroyed by a high-voltage string. Call us at (303) 876-7654 with your panel model and count and we'll do the arithmetic.
Why is the PV capacity so different between the two?
Because power is voltage times current, and both versions are limited by current rather than voltage. The 80A high-voltage version can take 4000W because it works at up to 400V; the 60A low-voltage version tops out at 1600W because it works at up to 90V. If you want a lot of solar, the high-voltage version is the only real option.
Does it produce 240V?
No — 120V single phase only. If you need 240V for a well pump or a dryer, look at SunGoldPower's split-phase models. This is a single-phase unit and cannot be paralleled to produce split phase.
How is it only 16.8 lbs when your other 3000W inverter is 49?
Different design. This is a transformer-less high-frequency inverter; the LFP3K is a low-frequency transformer unit. The transformer is the weight, and it's also what gives the LFP its exceptional surge behaviour. This one still manages 9000W for twenty seconds, which is good for a high-frequency design, but a low-frequency unit is more forgiving with very difficult loads.
Does it have solar built in?
Yes — unlike the LFP series, this has an MPPT charge controller inside it. That's the main reason to choose it: panels connect directly to the inverter rather than needing a separate controller.
What does the 50W idle draw mean for me?
Around 1.2kWh a day if you leave it on continuously, dropping to about 0.6kWh in power saver mode. On a modest 24V bank that's a meaningful share of your storage, so switch it off when you're away for long periods.
Is WiFi monitoring included?
No — WiFi and GPRS monitoring are optional extras at additional cost on this model, unlike the SPH 6.5KW, 8KW and 10KW where a module is included. Tell us if you want it and we'll add it to the order.
Can I run a generator into it?
Yes. The AC input accepts a generator as well as grid power, and dry contacts deliver an auto-start signal so a suitably equipped generator can start itself when the battery runs low.
Do I need a licensed electrician?
For anything that connects to your home's electrical service, yes — that is permitted, inspected work in every US jurisdiction, and a grid-interactive hybrid inverter usually needs a utility interconnection agreement as well. Call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll talk through what your installation needs before you order.
Do you offer financing or price matching?
Yes. We offer 0% APR financing options through Affirm at checkout, and our Lowest Price Guarantee applies — if you find this cheaper at another authorized dealer, call us at (303) 876-7654 before you order and we'll take care of it.
