11.4kW · High-Voltage Battery 120–500V · 18kW Solar · 4 MPPTs · NEMA 4X · Rapid Shutdown

SunGoldPower High Voltage 11.4KW Hybrid Split Phase Inverter with APS Transmitter (SG11.4KHB-HV)

This is the high-voltage member of the family, and the difference matters: it runs a 120–500V DC battery rather than a 48V one. At 11.4kW that cuts your DC current dramatically, which means smaller conductors, lower losses and less heat in a system that would otherwise need very heavy cable.

Four independent MPPT strings accept up to 18kW of solar at 600V, there is an integrated APS rapid-shutdown transmitter for NEC 690.12 compliance, and the enclosure is NEMA 4X rated for genuinely exposed outdoor mounting. UL 1741 SA and SB, UL 1699B, California Rule 21 and export power control. Renewable Outdoors is an authorized SunGoldPower dealer — call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll talk through whether high voltage is right for your project.

Why the SG11.4KHB-HV

High-Voltage 120–500V Battery

Far less DC current than a 48V system at the same power — smaller cable, lower losses, less heat.

18kW Solar Across 4 MPPTs

Four independent strings at up to 600V, which is more solar capacity than any other inverter in the range.

Integrated APS Rapid Shutdown

The transmitter is built in, satisfying NEC 690.12 without a separate box on the roof.

NEMA 4X Enclosure

A step above NEMA 3R — rated for hose-directed water and corrosive environments.

Export Power Control

Grid-tied, off-grid or hybrid operation with controllable export, for jurisdictions that limit it.

Generator as Grid Source

A generator can act as the grid source during an outage, with dry contacts for integration.

What You Get

  • 1 × SunGoldPower SG11.4KHB-HV 11.4kW high-voltage hybrid inverter
  • Integrated APS rapid-shutdown transmitter
  • Mounting hardware
  • User manual and warranty documentation

This inverter requires a high-voltage battery, not a 48V one. Your existing 48V bank will not work with it, and that is the single most important thing to establish before ordering. SunGoldPower documents compatibility with specific high-voltage lithium models. Call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll confirm the battery before anything ships.

SunGoldPower High Voltage 11.4KW Hybrid Split Phase Inverter with APS Transmitter (SG11.4KHB-HV): Frequently Asked Questions

What is the practical difference between a high-voltage battery and a 48V one?
Current. At 11.4kW, a 48V battery has to deliver well over 200A, which needs very heavy cable, large fuses and careful terminal work. A 400V battery delivers roughly a quarter of that current for the same power, so the cable, fusing and losses all shrink dramatically. The trade-off is that high-voltage batteries are a smaller market with fewer options, and they are genuinely dangerous to work on — 400V DC does not forgive mistakes.
Can I use my existing 48V batteries with it?
No, and this is the most important thing to establish before ordering. This inverter needs a 120–500V DC battery. A 48V bank is incompatible. If you already own 48V batteries, the SGN-11K15PRO gives you the same 11.4kW output on a 48V architecture — call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll compare the two for you.
What does the APS transmitter do?
It generates the signal that tells module-level rapid-shutdown devices on your roof to stay energised. When the signal stops — because the inverter shut down or a firefighter opened the disconnect — those devices de-energise the array. NEC 690.12 requires this on most rooftop installations, and having the transmitter built in saves a separate box and its wiring.
Why NEMA 4X rather than NEMA 3R?
NEMA 4X adds protection against hose-directed water and corrosion, where 3R covers rain and sleet. It matters if the inverter will be mounted somewhere genuinely exposed, near the coast, or anywhere it might get washed down. It's a meaningful upgrade over the rest of the range.
How much solar can I connect?
18kW across four independent MPPT strings at up to 600V — the most solar capacity of any inverter SunGoldPower makes. Four independent trackers means four roof faces or four string orientations can each be optimised separately.
What does export power control give me?
The ability to limit or prevent export to the grid, which many utilities require as a condition of interconnection. Some areas allow full export and pay for it; others allow none. This lets the system comply either way rather than forcing a choice.
Can a generator run the house through it?
Yes — the inverter can treat a generator as its grid source during an outage, so the generator charges the battery and supplies loads through the inverter rather than being switched in separately. Dry contact terminals handle the integration.
What warranty applies?
SunGoldPower does not publish a warranty term for this specific model, and their site-wide statements range from 12 months to 25 years depending on product. Call us at (303) 876-7654 before you order and we'll get the applicable term confirmed in writing rather than leaving you to guess.
Do I need a licensed electrician and a utility interconnection agreement?
Yes to both, in almost all cases. A grid-interactive hybrid inverter connects to your service and can interact with the utility, which means permitted and inspected work plus an interconnection application. That's why the UL 1741 SA and SB certifications on these units matter — they're what the utility asks for. Call us at (303) 876-7654 and we'll get the certification documents to your installer.
Do you offer financing or price matching?
Yes. We offer 0% APR financing options through Affirm at checkout, and our Lowest Price Guarantee applies — if you find this cheaper at another authorized dealer, call us at (303) 876-7654 before you order and we'll take care of it.
