The EG4 6000XP All-In-One Off-Grid Inverter is a 48V split-phase inverter/charger that delivers powerful and efficient off-grid energy solutions. I’ve had the EG4 6000XP running my entire off-grid cabin for 5 months now, and I couldn’t be more pleased with how it’s performing.
If you are looking for a true split-phase, all-in-one inverter that can handle a real workload without flinching, this is it. It has plenty of power to run the whole place, handling the simultaneous surge of pumps, tools, and regular household appliances without a hiccup.
Right now, I have it paired with a temporary lead-acid battery bank. Even though lead-acid isn't the most efficient or modern chemistry, the 6000XP manages it flawlessly and keeps the system stable. That said, the plan is to upgrade to a proper wall-mount lithium setup down the road and knowing how seamless the communication and integration will be with this unit makes that future upgrade a no-brainer. Thanks again to Josh at Renewable who helped me with the purchase and setup process.
So far this unit is doing very well. I estimate it is off setting my consumption from the grid by about 60%. I will be able to be more off grid capable when I add more batteries. For now it is great to see the savings and know I have a backup system for emergencies. It was very easy to install with everything you need and at an affordable price.
Easy to install. Love higher volts and lower amps. We run 2 pumps@ 230 volts and a whole house. Fridge, freezers multiple tvs. No surges no hickups. Excellent offgrid choice. We are so happy we did the research and found this inverter.
Well, you mentioned that you wouldn't accept the return because it was over 30 days and it would go to your warehouse and it wasn't an RMA but then you sent a return label for the other one I bought that said RMA and went to signature solar, a company that specifically told me they would honor the return if you submitted it. So the justification that it'd take up space in your warehouse seems to be untrue?
On top of that it's a $1400 inverter. I offered to pre-buy a EG4 18kpv if you'd accept the return. So that's a $1400 inverter return and in return I'll buy a $4500ish inverter, which is the one I need, but apparently that's a hassle. So yeah, I'd say I wish you'd work with me a bit more to help me out, but I guess you're honoring the terms of buying so you're not technically in the wrong....
Inverter arrived in new condition and packaged well. Seller was quick to respond to email and answered all my questions in a polite manner. Overall I'm happy with purchase.

A great inverter with lots of capability to import power. It works as described and great output power for the price. The web UI is great except for it takes a little long to update. I don't use it for real-time monitoring. Lastly, the fans are loud even when taking in little solar. They are adjustable but adjustments are static...wish they would spin up according to usage. Overall, extremely happy with the purchase.
Inverter is great. I was slightly disappointed in the shipping time. It said it was in stock ready to ship, yet it took 3 weeks for it to arrive. Other than that it arrived undamaged and works great. Their customer service is great as well.
The inverter arrived 4 days after ordering. The EG4 app requires a customer code which you need to get from the manufacturer. Of course I was setting it up at 8:30 pm on a Saturday and someone on the Renewable Outdoors website responded to my chat question and helped me get setup! Excellent customer service and quick shipping. The product works well and the manual walks you through the setup fairly well.
Really happy that the inverter is communicating with several batteries. It was easy to install and battery chain wires/communication wire all reach eachother easily.
I had difficulty setting it up with the touch pad. I found that the manual left out a few details and it did not seem to do what the manual said it would. Customer service was great. They responded quickly and got me up and running. I still can't set the time to my local time either with the touch pad or the monitor software. It says successfully updated but it doesn't change. The data displayed has some bugs. It sometimes repeats data from the previous day rather than showing the new data. But it is working great. Using solar panels to charge my backup batteries and providing 120/240VAC.
I'm getting close to getting it set up. It just couldn't be any easier. So many DIY videos on YouTube. I'll have to get back to you after I've ran it for a month. It's a beautiful piece of equipment. And I would advise anybody who wants to order one to order it through you guys.
The inverter arrived in good condition. I can’t use it because the solar panels I ordered with the inverter and battery have not arrived. I can’t locate them using any of the tracking information I’ve been given. Very disappointed.
